Growing My Little Creative Business

I’ve been spending more time on Eclectic Turtle Studio lately, and it’s reminded me how much I want this little business to grow!!

I love creating. Whether I’m drawing something on my iPad, designing business cards, or trying to get a website to cooperate… I really do enjoy it! Especially when I get to step back and think, “I MADE THAT!!”

And yes, sometimes I go back five minutes later and change something. It’s a process.

Lately, website design has been scratching a creative itch I didn’t realize I had. Helping someone put their business out into the world is exciting!! But I also want to keep drawing frogs in cups and making patterns that end up on things people can actually use. There’s a reason “eclectic” is in the name…

The part I’m still figuring out: getting my work in front of people. I can spend hours happily making something, then get stuck trying to write a caption about it. How do I say “Look at this thing I made!!” for the hundredth time without feeling annoying?

But I do want people to see it!! I want more design clients, more people enjoying my art, and more opportunities to make things I’m proud of. I’d love for this work to become a bigger part of how I support myself, too.

I don’t have everything figured out yet… but I’m excited about what I’ve been creating, and I want to keep giving this business a chance to grow!!
